Joint Design, Testing, and Installation Workshop
Proper joint design and installation are two of the most misunderstood aspects of successful concrete pipe systems. The performance of any pipe joints depends primarily on the joint, the rubber gasket, and the care with which the joint is installed. Discussion will include calculations on joint design analysis, joint details including tolerances and compression limits, proof of design testing, post-pour QA, and ASTM and AASHTO Standards for joint design and field performance as well as what should be expected from our joints in a post installation inspection.
